
Jazmine was raised and born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her mother Pam was a backup singer for Philadelphia International Records. When she was five, her father was appointed as her curator at the Strawberry Mansion Section. Her family eventually moved into this iconic building. In 2005 she was a graduate of the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts as singer-music major. Sullivan began singing in contralto with the children's choir, then a few years later in the adult choir. His exposure to secular music was initially minimal "I did solos in the church and was approached by someone to sign to an evangelical label when I had turned eleven, however I wasn't prepared to sign that contract," she recalls. At that time, McDonald's held a contest with children from large cities. I had the opportunity to sing "Accept The Grace God Gives" in The show Showtime At the Apollo. And the audience was very supportive. She was just 13 when she sang along alongside Stevie Wonder for his grandson's birthday. Sullivan was first signed to Jive Records at the age fifteen. In the age group of 15 she signed with Jive Records. She made an entire album there, but the album was never made available for release. Sullivan was ultimately dismissed on the labels. Her work had been in good relationship along with Missy Elliott. Elliott produced some of her tracks and tracks, such as "Backstabbers" that was written by Timbaland.
